Zanzan is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels welcome. From helping arrange activities to sharing stories and wisdom, he creates an experience that is both personal and meaningful. We were touched by Zanzan’s devotion to the environment, the local community and the animals. Meals were a highlight - delicious, healthy and always beginning with a moment of prayer and gratitude that gave every dinner and breakfast a special atmosphere. It was one of the most special experiences we’ve had in Bali and something I will carry with me for a long time. As an animal lover, I was especially moved - this place felt even more meaningful and special to me. Come here for amazing vegan food, friendly people and beautiful scenery. The rooms are small but clean. Good wifi. Come with an open mind and learn about local customs and religions, go to the local market with the cook, do a cooking class or a hike... All very interesting and we loved the family dinners too! I arrived in Bali with the intention of healing, and what I received was far more than I ever expected love, connection, community, and a deep sense of peace. Zanzan, Putu, their beautiful children, grandma, and the kind-hearted staff welcomed me with such grace and sincerity that I immediately felt like part of their extended family. This isn’t just a hotel, OMunity is a living, breathing village rooted in tradition, love, and authenticity. It’s located in Sawan, a special village of 10,000 original Balinese families, and it offers the rare opportunity to truly disconnect from the busy world and reconnect with what matters most: nature, community, and self. Close to beautiful Fiji and Sekumpul Waterfalls. Every guest staying alongside me ended up extending their time, a true testament to the magic of this place and the hospitality of its hosts. From heartfelt conversations with Zanzan to sharing delicious vegetarian meals prepared with love, every moment felt sacred. I was even invited to attend three traditional ceremonies during my stay, a beautiful and humbling experience I will never forget. One of the highlights for me was visiting a local school in the village led by an inspiring principal who teaches children about sustainability and recycling. I also had the joy of making offering baskets, exploring the breathtaking Sekumpul and Fiji waterfalls, and immersing myself in the local culture in the most authentic way. OMunity is not just a destination, it’s a life experience. It lives deep in my heart, and I carry the memories with so much love and gratitude. Nous sommes venus en avril en famille! Ces 3 jours ont été formidables!!! Nous avons été accueillis par zanzan et ses 3 enfants comme si nous étions des leurs. Une gentillesse incroyable! La nourriture était exceptionnelle!! On a trouvé des saveurs que nous n'avons eu nulle part ailleurs sur l'île. Les excursions proposées au top. Nous avons fait une randonnée avec cascades, toboggans aquatiques naturels, repas dans les rizières accompagnés par le guide Coco qui est un homme tellement gentil. Le lieu magnifique avec des bungalows très jolis. ( Pas beaucoup de rangement, et prévoir pour le soir de l'anti moustique :) ) mais c'est une immersion exceptionnelle. The community concept is truly unique – eating together with everyone creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The (vegetarian) food is absolutely amazing, some of the best I’ve had in Bali! Zanzan is incredibly kind and always ready to help with anything you need. The whole place feels serene and peaceful, perfect for slowing down and reconnecting with nature. It’s also a great base to visit nearby spots like waterfalls and traditional villages. But the absolute highlight for me was strolling through the rice fields at sunset – it felt like experiencing the real, authentic Bali. Highly recommend!
